Which is...yanno, I'm genderqueer, I'm not trans, it feels like too much hassle to correct everyone's pronouns and name and whatnot, especially since my periods of being strongly gendered are so intermittent and weird.
But anyways, I certainly am a dude some days, and it makes me happy when people remember that or notice that --if I'm wearing my "Erik" badge at squares, or flagging a purple bandana, or binding, or dressed the part of a gentleman, I probably wish to be referred to as one. And sometimes people talk to me as Erik, and even if they are talking to me as Kat or Sor other times, it's wondrous to get that moment of validation.
Anyways, all that bullshit rambling is a lead up to this:
BEST. HAT. EVER. OMG. THANK YOU HAR!

(Postscript, for explanation: Purple is my colour. Orange is Kat's colour. Rich, deep, royal purple --this hat is exactly the right shade-- is the sort of thing that makes me squee and bounce and want to put together into just splendid costume. So this hat is not only a present for me, but it's a present for me in my colour. Ee!)
