And there's the peril of summer vacation. I can only enjoy it for so long until I begin going "what now?"

And yes, I could work on my German or clean my room. But I don't waaaaaaaaaaannnna! Besides, hanging out on Dmitri means being able to chat with various people who pop online like Thorog or Ksatyr or Marc or Jarne or Kat.

Those being everyone I've really talked to this summer. Maybe I need more friends. :p

Or a job.

I don't waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaanna!!! Mostly because I am repeatedly dying every time I go outside. Because eighty plus degrees every single day is TOO FREAKING HOT! I should go to the pool again...

Tomorrow maybe. In between lunch-at-malling.

In other news, I've been roped into a new elljay based rpg. I have most of a charecter -his name is Jan- and I will be sending the appropriate info to Jarne as soon as I've got it done. And yes, I'm playing a boy. I've never tried it before, and this is the sort of format where it would be easy to play around, it's all very fluid.

...huh. Methinks that maybe I write more boy-type P.O.V then girltype. And writing and roleplaying are so nearly the same thing. But lessee...all my female based stories haven't been touched in ages, mostly I've just been writing Wasabi and Eric.

And working on Jan. Because writing and roleplaying are both creation are both good.

Who knows, I doubt this makes very much sense. Kung-fu tonight just about killed me, although I learned more form, which is always nice. I've gotten to the first kick -yayforme!

Hum, how does one write a tactful letter to someone they're trying to gain employment from that basically says "Well, am I hired?" but doesn't seem overly impatient. I'm trying to get work at RenFest for Mrs. Barry (Drama-teachers mother) and I wanna knooooooow!!!

Wow, I'm reallllllly whiny today. Probably not the best time to be writing an elljay entry. Ah hell, what do I care, it's my journal damnit, and if you don't like it, you can go dance with a mop.

...That ones new.

I think that this is all. Tathen.

MyJan does not snark nearly as much. Also, he has a boyfriend. Ocassionally.

One does not write a letter asking if you're hired, one writes a letter thanking them for taking the time to interview you (assuming they did) and for their consideration of you. Hand written too, not typed.

What they said. It expresses your excitement at the prospect of working for them, reinforces that you believe you are a good fit, and ideally recalls or follows up on something from the interview.

And yes, I know this is a less formal situation. The general advice still applies...if you want to nudge them about an answer, thank them for considering you and talk about how excited you are and close by mentioning that you look forward to hearing from them soon. If you had reason to expect an answer and haven't gotten one yet, and you haven't sent them anything recently, a note politely asking if you missed their response can show your interest...I just sent one of those today.
