Photo credit FrenchChris on Flickr, original here, taken without permission because I am a badgirl also *damn*
(For reference, we're about 14 feet off the ground, on the frame holding the hot air balloon open.)
I am sternly against posting Facebook profile photos with more than one person in them. Sternly against. It's a longstanding rule in my world.
But damn do I wish I weren't. Because this is an absolutely perfect photo.

on 2012-05-05 09:44 pm (UTC)The idea of making a fanpage for my relationship is like the most terrifying thing to me, you have no idea. I am super commitmentphobic, and super drama-phobic, and like...aug. I would die forever.
But thank you! And yes, it is the best picture. <3

on 2011-10-07 06:05 am (UTC)I agree with you about the multiple person thing if it could be unclear who the FB belongs to, but I generally make exceptions for wedding photos and person+recent baby photos (but not pictures of just the baby without the person).

on 2012-05-05 09:51 pm (UTC)I don't like wedding photos because I'm not very good at recognizing gender from names, and I know a fair number of homosexual couples. If I am looking at two typically female people, trying to identify which is "Lisa", I am liable to give up in frustration.
Also, I am like the least cutsey/romantic person on the planet. Huzzah for being bitter and cynical!

on 2012-05-05 09:55 pm (UTC)My problem with multiple people in a profile picture is that the profile picture is supposed to identify the person who owns the profile. I understand that FL is weird with anonymity and not necessarily wanting to be clearly connected to your profile, but if it's a picture with more than one person, then it is not a good picture for identifying the owner of the account.

on 2012-05-05 09:56 pm (UTC)It really is awesome, isn't it?
I apparently have too much (different from too many) opinion on the question, and have gone all rant-face at people. You know, six months later, because that's how I do livejournal, apparently.

on 2012-05-05 09:57 pm (UTC)Case in point, there is a photo credit, naming the photographer and linking back to their flickr. It's very well hidden, being as it is directly beneath the photo in question
